Following back-to-back wins for the Royals, they would now turn their attention to the inform Northamptonshire outfit Corby Town FC. Today they make the 120-mile round trip to Coles Lane. The visitors this evening sit in second place in the table, but have struggled as of late coming off the back of 2 4-0 losses.
Cameron Stuart made 1 change to the team that played against Darlaston on Tuesday night, with Collins replacing Tonge in the lineup.

12th Min: After early pressure from Corby, their first chance of the afternoon came from Neo Dobson. He hit the ball towards Wren’s near post, but was denied by a great save.
15th Min: It was a slow start from Royals perspective, with Corby having a lot of the ball and creating the better chances early doors.
19th Min: Wren was once again forced into action by Neo Dobson. Luckily, he was denied by a fantastic save from Wren as he parried it out for a corner.
21st Min: Sutton’s first chance came through Parry. A lofted ball saw him 1-on-1, his volleyed effort forced a strong save from the hands of Ross Durant.
24th Min: The visitors made the pressure count through Matthew Slinn. His well taken effort had beaten Wren to make it 1-0 to the visitors. 0-1 Corby Town FC.
30th Min: After a slow start from the Royals, they began to grab more momentum in the game, trying to find a way to get back on level terms
42nd Min: The Royals had a great chance to get the game back on level terms just shy of half time. The Corby defender misjudged the ball, which allowed Burke to knock it past him and fire an effort at Ross Durant’s near post which was saved.

A poor start from Sutton led to the visitors going in to the break 1 up. Nevertheless, Sutton showed promising signs towards the end of the half, still giving them a chance in the second half.
59th Min: A Messi esc run from Collins saw him break through the whole Corby side before he reached the edge of the box and dragged a shot wide of the post.
65th Min: Wren was called into action with Corby’s first chance of the second half, where he denied the player who he was 1-on-1 with, by saving low to his right.
68th Min: Birch and Wilson On.
70th Min: After great work on the touchline by Lynch, somehow the game was not on level terms. He skipped past his man before putting in the perfect ball across, the face of the goal was packed with Sutton players chucking their bodies towards it, but frustratingly, no one could quite get the connection.
71st Min: After an Edmunds corner was cleared, the ball fell to Hurley who headed goalwards, beat the keeper, but his shot but was headed off the line.
80th Min; Aris and Taylor On.
82nd Min: It was all Sutton now, and this time, Parry found space on the edge of the box before he curled his shot on to the post of Ross Durant’s goal.
85th Min: It just wouldn’t go in for Sutton. Wilson, now on the right-hand side, whipped in a ball which was met by Burke. His volley swerved the way of Parry, who flicked a header just wide of the right post.
92nd Min: After a scramble in the box, the ball fell to Burke, who shot towards goal was headed off the line.
94th Min: it just wasn’t Suttons day! After constant pressure, the ball was crossed in on the right-hand side which met the head of Luca Taylor. He beat the keeper, but was cleared off the line by Danny Setchell.

After a fantastic second half from the Royals, they would feel unlucky, as they deserved at least a point after numerous efforts headed off the line. But, that’s football!
We now turn our attention to another game against Anstey Nomads, where we will look to change our fortunes against them.
