Sutton have had a difficult few weeks with 4 away games and losing all of them. More worrying is the fact they haven’t scored in all 4 games. This week it’s back to Coles Lane where Sutton remain unbeaten, and where we take on Shepshed Dynamo.
Shepshed Dynamo are based in the small town of Shepshed in Leicestershire. They were founded in 1994 after reforming under this new name due to financial difficulties; their previous name was Shepshed Charterhouse. They are nicknamed The Dynamo and play at the Dovecote stadium.
They play in black and white striped shirts at home and yellow away, Martin O’Neill used to manage them back in the late 80s before he moved to Leicester City.
Shepshed are currently in 17th place on 14 points after 16 games, whereas Sutton have now dropped into 10th spot on 22 points after 16 games. Shepshed have won 2 of their last 4 games.
The last time Sutton played Shepshed away was last season. We lost 1-0 at home and won 1-0 away thanks to a late header by Pedro Lima.
This game is a very important one for the team. Lose and they will drop into the bottom ten. 5 losses in a row would be a difficult statistic to comprehend after such a great start to the campaign.
Let’s get behind the team and hope Sutton can get a very long overdue goal and three points.
