Sutton will be disappointed with the loss against Darlaston last weekend, and with losing some ground on the play-off pack. But they do have the chance to get back on track this weekend against Lye Town, who are themselves fighting for points to move away from the wrong end of the table.
Lye Town are based in Stourbridge and were formed in 1930. They are nicknamed The Flyers and play at the Sports Ground. Lye play in blue and white at home and have been promoted to this league by winning the play-offs in the Midland Premier Division.
We last played Lye last season, losing 2-0 away and 1-0 at home. So, we are due some points this season, and the way Sutton are playing they should be odds on to pick some up.
Lye Town are currently in 16th place with 13 points from 14 games. Having had a string of wins against Grantham, Racing Club Warwick, Walsall Wood and Wellingborough, they have since lost their last two games.
Sutton are now in 7th position, and are sitting just outside the playoffs. A loss on Saturday could push them further back from their goal.
Sutton will need to take their chances on Saturday, with finishing being a problem in recent weeks.
Hope to see you back the Royals this Saturday.
