Following Saturday’s comfortable victory at Grantham Town FC, the Royals were set to face the prospect of the Birmingham Senior Cup second round. Our visitors today were Darlaston Town, making the 20-mile round trip to the Domino's Arena.
The Royals faced the opposition earlier on in the season, losing 3-1 away from home. Tonight, the lads faced the opportunity to redeem themselves.
Cameron Stuart made 2 changes to the team that faced Grantham on Saturday, with Remmie Birch replacing Cam Collins and Edmunds replacing Fraser Doyle.

10th Min: It was the Royals who had the first chance to capitalise on a mistake from Darlaston. Eddy dispossessed the midfielder before picking out Kory Burke, who unfortunately fired his effort in to the side-netting.
13th Min: It didn’t take long to score after a good start from the Royals. Tonge was picked out after a darting run past the backline, he slowed down before he knocked the ball past the defender and slotted it into the bottom corner past James Storer. 1-0 Sutton.
30th Min: After that good start from the Royals, the game eventually petered out, Darlaston had a great opportunity to bring the game back on level terms, but skied high and wide.

57th Min: Bryne On
62nd Min: Doyle On
58th Min: Kyle Bryne almost had an instant impact. He found the ball in space, and hit the post from a tight angle.
66th Min: Lynch, over on the far-hand-side, won the ball back before driving and delivering the perfect ball for Burke. He slotted past the keeper with ease to make It 2-0 to the Royals. 2-0 Sutton.
69th Min: Collins On.
75th Min: After making it 2-0, the Royals kept a lot of the ball creating a few half-hearted efforts. Ultimately, they were closing out the game to book our place in the 3rd round.
76th Min: Aris On.
79th Min: Wilson On.
