Ryan Hamilton’s side are back on the road this weekend as they face off against National League newcomers Lincoln United
The Royals are back in league action following their cup tie against Burnley, which saw keeper Maddie Elbro impress on her debut
Despite suffering a narrow one nil defeat to the National League North side, Sutton can take a lot of confidence away from this fixture heading into the weekend
Sutton will look to grab their third win of the season when they travel to Ashby Avenue this Sunday, which could be their first win on the road since the opening day
Town currently sit 9th in the table just one point behind Sunday’s opponents in 8th
New signing Maddie Elbro will look to carry on her impressive form from Sunday after a host of impressive saves kept the deficit to one
Ryan Hamilton’s side will look to end a four game stretch without a win, but they will look to build off the back of two strong performances
“I’m really looking forward to Sunday’s game against Lincoln, on the back of two very good performances it’s a chance to go and build on these good performances and aim to get some further points on the board
“Sunday was a performance to be proud of and I feel we really showed the togetherness of the team, a performance that showed why I’m so proud to be manager of this team”
Lincoln United however were in National League Plate action which saw them suffer a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa Academy
The Whites came up to the division with an impressive run behind them seeing them win a treble last season
This season however United haven’t enjoyed the same dominance but are starting to find their feet as they beat local rivals Lincoln City 5-1 last time out in the league
Sutton will have to keep Lincoln’s Lauren Churcher quiet who has four goal involvements in eight games as well as trying to find a way past the Whites’ September player of the month Stacey McConville
Join us this Sunday at Ashby Avenue, Come on you Royals!
