In a game that both managers used to look at young players it was Dynamo who started better and they took the lead in the 26th minute, Kris Nurse converting a left wing cross at the near post after Lycett had been caught flat footed in half way, this proving to be the only goal of a flat first half.
Sutton started the 2nd half well and within two minutes of the restart. Mark Danks floated a free kick into the Dynamo area which eluded everybody and nestled in the bottom corner.
It was Danks again who gave Sutton the lead in the 60th minute when Harvey flapped at a cross leaving Danks to drive the loose ball home. Sutton manager Neil Tooth made 3 changes and all were out of the college foundation course with Danny Kidane James Price and Callum Foster making their debuts.
Dynamo came straight back and were level within two minutes. A move involving Martin Bowles and Lee Morris set up Nurse to equalise from just inside the area.
A clearance out of defence was picked up just inside the Royals half by Smithson who set off on a run and slotted home in the 68th minute.
Seven minutes later another long ball out of defence from Dynamo was collected by Nathan Kelly, who held off a challenge from Joel Kettle to lob the ball home with style.
The Royals rallied late on to get back into the game, but Dynamo's defence held firm and give the away side the victory.
