Deakin played for the Royals towards the end of last season but decided to sign for the Pics in the summer. Things didn't work out and as soon as he became available Tooth swooped to re sign the former Walsall player.

The Royals boss had this to say, "Im delighted to have Deaks back involved as he is a quality player and a leader and that's exactly what iv been after. We have had a very good start but we still want to improve and Deaks will add to a lot to our squad. Id also like to thank Richard and Steve and the secretary at Rushall for helping us get the signing done in time for the Romulus game."
